Divya Dubey is a freelance book editor and runs her editorial services and creative writing sessions under the name Authorz Coracle. She edits both fiction (literary and commercial) and general non-fiction. She has been a part of the publishing industry for twenty years. Occasionally, she freelances for some of the best publishing companies in India, including Penguin Random House.

Divya is the former publisher of Gyaana Books, her own publishing firm that published both literary and commercial fiction from 2009-13. She was a finalist for the British Council Young Creative Entrepreneur Award, Publishing, 2010. She is also the former publisher and editor-in-chief of Earthen Lamp Journal, an international literary e-zine from India (2013-18).

She has reviewed fiction and non-fiction and occasionally done interviews for India Today magazine, the Hindustan Times, Livemint, Biblio, etc (India); the Asian Review of Books (Hong Kong) – some of them republished in The Asian Writer (UK); the Asia Literary Review (Hong Kong), Kitaab (Singapore), Wasafiri (UK), the New York Journal of Books (US), and India Currents magazine (US).

Some of her short stories and articles have appeared in various publications such as Out–of-Print, Muse India, Reading Hour, Kindle Magazine, Urban Voice 4, The Bookseller (UK), Scroll, The Hindu Literary Review, the Hindustan Times, Indo-Asian News Service, Pravasi Bharatiya, All About Book Publishing, Book Link, The Publisher’s Post, and Chicken Soup for the Indian Couple’s Soul (Westland). She is the author of the collection of short stories, Turtle Dove (Juggernaut Books, 2016; Readomania, 2016).

She is an alumna of St Stephen’s College, University of Delhi (MA English), and Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, UK (MA Publishing). Besides this, she successfully completed a course in Fiction Writing from the Deptt of Continuing Education, University of Oxford, UK. She has also been a guest lecturer for Creative Writing on certain occasions at Aurobindo Instt., New Delhi.
